Each year, PA 211 receives $750,000 in an annual appropriation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. However, the PA 211 regions, local United Ways, and United Way of Pensylvania invest over $5 million annually to operate PA 211.  Over the course of the past three years, calls, texts, and web volume have increased due to widespread need across the Commonwealth.  As a public-private partnership, with whom the Commonwealth has previously made a significant one-time investment, it is imperative that our largest partner join us in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable through a consistent investment in PA 211's infrastructure, efficient and effective service delivery, and the ability to "close-the loop" by increasing the annual appropriation from $750,000 to $2 million.
