Support prior authorization reform and reduce administrative burden
Earlier this year, Senate Bill 225 passed the Senate unanimously, bringing patients one step closer to having better access to care. Now, we are racing toward the finish line, and the House has a limited number of session days to schedule a vote and pass the bill.

Health insurers’ prior authorization and step therapy/fail first processes are burdensome and inefficient – causing delays in patient care and increasingly undermining decisions made between physicians and patients.

S.B. 225 will create a quicker, more efficient prior authorization process and provides a clearer route to request an override from the step therapy process. Urge your State Representative to vote “yes” on this important legislation.
