Support Primary Care during COVID-19 Pandemic
Primary care has been the foundation of our nation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet more support is needed for family physicians to remain viable during the recovery to address both COVID-19 and all other health needs of patients, including chronic disease and vaccine administration.

Any legislative package passed by Congress must include additional targeted relief funds for primary care physicians on the frontlines, make permanent changes to telehealth to increase patient access, reinstate Medicare's Accelerated and Advance Payments program for physicians in need, and strengthen the primary care workforce by reauthorizing the Teaching Health Center GME, National Health Service Corps, and Conrad 30 J-1 visa waiver programs. Patients and physicians alike need both protections from burdensome COVID-19 prevention and treatment cost-sharing and COVID-19 medical liability, respectively.

Ask your member of Congress to make sure any final COVID-19 legislative package supports both patients and physicians!
