The importance of the role of the breeder impacts the future of a dog’s career. A strong genetic foundation, along with early healthcare and socialization is a key factor in the success of training and deployment for detection dogs. Due to popular request, AKC Detection Dog Task Force is pleased to extend the conversation with industry experts with an emphasis on the importance of selecting the right breeder to developmental points in puppies’ birth through three months:
- Bart Rogers, Chief Canine Instructor, Auburn University Canine Performance Sciences
- Tim Baird, Director of Operations Alabama, MK9 Solutions
- Stacey West, Program Manager, AKC’s Patriotic Puppy Program
The online event will take place Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 7:30pm ET.
The session will last less than an hour.
Registration is required. At registration, participants will have the chance to submit up to three questions for discussion during the session.
