Each year, the AKC Government Relations Department (AKC GR) tracks thousands of bills across the country with the potential to impact our dogs, our breeding programs and our sport. It is essential that AKC club members and breeders join us in speaking up, but it can be hard to know where to start. 

AKC GR has developed the Legislative Action Center to be your one-stop website for a broad variety of resources to help you communicate with lawmakers, fellow dog owners, and others in your community – and we continue to add new things all the time!

Our newest resource is a one page handout for your clubs and fellow dog owners and breeders that provides a brief introduction to the Legislative Action Center and lists some of the many resources you can find on the site from economic impact statistics to talking points on key issues to our monthly advocacy newsletter.
