Right now, Congress is considering its priorities for funding government programs in the next fiscal year (FY26). This includes whether to fund, cut, or completely eliminate critical programs that support farm to school, farm to ECE, child nutrition, and local food producers.
We need you to contact your Senator today – particularly those on important committees that focus on the details of program funding – to urge them to support and invest in the programs that benefit their constituents.
- Provide robust funding for the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant Program
- Protect farm to preschool/farm to ECE work with our littlest eaters through CDC's chronic disease prevention arm
- Invest in the capacity of our country's local food system with funding for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production and LAMP Grants
- Grow resources for child nutrition programs to meet their mission of healthier school food
- Protect competition and a fair playing field for producers
