Urge your Leaders to Reauthorize Funds for a Vital Maternal and Infant Support Program
The Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program provides funding to Ohio to develop and implement voluntary, evidence-based home visiting programs that improve outcomes for at-risk children and families. It is vital for Congress to prioritize passage of this reauthorization. At this critical moment, The Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act of 2022 is moving in Congress with bipartisan support, recently passing in the House Ways & Means Committee unanimously.

This legislation, which includes the first-ever increase in funding for MIECHV since the creation of the program over a decade ago, presents the chance to further invest in thousands of community-based home visiting programs that helps strengthen babies, families, and communities.

Urge your legislator to act swiftly to pass the legislation and reauthorize the program in order to sustain current services and reach more families with the critical support they need.
