Supreme Court Allows Texas Heartbeat Bill to Stand! -- Ask your state's elected officials to protect ALL life today!
BIG News:

The Supreme Court of the United States has officially declined to block Texas' new Heartbeat Bill, which outlaws abortions after the detection of a heartbeat in the Lone Star State!

This is an UNPRECEDENTED VICTORY for the pro-life, anti-abortion movement in America, and we need YOUR help to sustain this momentum so we can begin protecting ALL life again in our country!

Can we count on you to contact your Governor and State Legislators, and request that they take swift action to protect the lives of all preborn children in your state?

You can reach your Governor and State Legislators in one easy step using this simple contact form (see right) that we're making available here on LifeSite's Action Center.

The legislation in question, Senate Bill (SB) 8, serves to ban abortions that occur after a heartbeat is detected (generally around the six-week mark of pregnancy) by allowing the public to sue anyone who provides and/or assists in performing the deadly procedure.

The law, which was signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott in May and went into effect on September 1st, was upheld (for the time being) by the U.S. Supreme Court late Wednesday evening after abortion providers in the state filed an emergency application to suspend SB 8 from going into effect.

This latest development suggests two things:  (1) That the Supreme Court just might be ready to begin protecting life in its rulings again, and (2) that states would be wise to recognize this shift, and legislate based on the Court's apparent, newfound openness to upholding laws that do exactly that.

This may very well represent a new beginning for life in our country, but we mustn't let the opportunity pass us by:  Now is the time for individual states to take matters into their own hands, and that means taking action!

It's up to us to ensure that ALL life -- beginning at conception -- is protected under the law in our country, and with Congress and the White House currently under full control of the radical left, the best venue to make this change a reality is in the states.

Every human being in America has both a natural and constitutional right to life, but the sad reality is that, in America today (and since the Supreme Court's decision in Roe v. Wade was handed down back in 1973), that right has been trampled upon by the powers-that-be again and again, resulting in more 60 million abortions in less than 50 years' time.

An entire generation was lost because of the Supreme Court's misguided, outdated decision to make the lethal act of abortion easily accessible to all who seek it so many years ago, but, with the latest makeup of the bench, the time for a turnaround may be approaching faster than we realize.

To be clear: The Supreme Court's decision not to block Texas' new heartbeat law is not necessarily a permanent one -- a formal case may soon work its way up through the legal process and end up before the Court, once again, in due time.

But the fact that a majority of Justices still acted to uphold the law, in its current form, after immediate (and anticipated) backlash from the abortion lobby, marks what may very well be an important shift in the Court's philosophy on the right to life in our country.

Now is the time to seize this historic moment, and craft legislation that will protect and defend ALL life, and put an end to America's tragic culture of death, once and for all!

Please take a few minutes to contact your Governor and State Legislators today with this urgent yet simple request to work towards advocating for, drafting, supporting, and approving legislation that will protect ALL life in your state.

Thank you!
