ALERT: STOP Congress from Forcing Women to Register for the Draft! -- Contact your Federal Lawmakers today!

Congressional Democrats (with the help of some Republican allies) are ready to make the next major push to inject their modern-day leftist agenda into our Military by forcing our daughters to register for the draft.

That's right: When Congress convenes again later this month, our elected lawmakers may very well vote to break with generations' worth of tradition by requiring women (many against their will) to sign up for Selective Service -- and potentially face combat.

The women of our country already make sacrifices in their daily lives -- for their families, for their own education and careers, and, yes, for their country -- and this new proposal to open up the draft would be a terrible mistake for our nation.

This isn't just wrong; it disregards both men and women's God-given identities in favor of a false sense of reality that ignores science and its implications, and prioritizes politics over people.

We must, therefore, do everything we can to STOP this misguided effort to construct yet another false narrative of phony sexism in order to blur the lines between the sexes even further.

And, we need YOUR urgent help to do it.

Can we count on you contact your federal lawmakers -- both in the U.S. House and Senate -- and ask them to reject legislation that would force women to register for the draft?

You can reach your U.S. Senators and House Member in one easy step using this simple contact form (see right) that we're making available here on LifeSite's Action Center.

With one click, your message is sent directly to their offices without having to look up any contact details.

Then, please SHARE this important information with your friends and family members to spread the word across our country!

In the desperate DC Democrats' latest scheme to launch the country leftward, lawmakers have amended the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (commonly referred to as the Defense Budget Bill) by removing all language that refers specifically to men and males in the Military Selective Service Act, and replacing it with "gender-inclusive" alternatives in a spurious effort to crack down on "sexism" and promote "fairness" in America's Military.

This would, in effect, require young women, as well, to register for the draft.

To clarify, the Selective Service System (SSS), which was formed back in 1917, is responsible for compiling information on all eligible biological males living in the United States, age 18 to 25, through a legally mandated registration program that is meant to streamline recruitment in the event that a new draft becomes necessary.

Currently, the number of young men registered with the SSS stands at an estimated 17 million, which is more than sufficient to supply the needs of the armed services in case of war, even if only a fraction of those are called up for duty. And, of course, recruitment age of men can always be extended (as it was in WWII, up to age 45).

So, the idea that an equal number of young women are needed to fill roles in the military during wartime is ludicrous.

While the constitutionality of such a system has been the subject of spirited debate for decades, what has generally been considered non-controversial is its recruiting of young males exclusively. That said, legal challenges have been presented, but the Supreme Court decided (1981) that only requiring males to register for the SSS did not violate the due process clause of the Constitution.

However, in recent years, both Democrats and Republicans alike have voiced support for opening up the draft to young women with false claims on "parity."

The truth is that America has always strived to achieve true equality for our population, but our nation's laws must, as they always have, account for the inherent differences between males and females, especially those of a physiological nature, in order to ensure that the individual needs of everybody come first.

SSS requirements are no exception.

The fact remains that most adversarial militaries across the globe allow only males to join and, more importantly, to fight.

And, the reality is that opening the draft to young women would inevitably mean exposing our daughters to more harm, in many cases against their will, by placing them in combat roles that may very well see them on the ground, facing off against ruthless, physically stronger enemies that are, put simply, out for American blood.

To be clear, this is not to suggest that able-bodied, qualified American women should be banned from serving in our Military, or that women do not have the physical, mental, and emotional fortitude to serve our country with honor, dignity, and courage.

But since the founding of our nation, American society has, for good reason, not called on women to assume the role of soldier. And, expanding SSS registration to include our daughters can and will put them in mortal danger.

Indeed, mandatory service for the purely political purpose of achieving a new brand of "inclusiveness" may sound nice on paper, but it helps no one.

But, this latest politicization of our Military, while perhaps jarring, is far from surprising.

The radical left has made no secret about its disdain for carrying on traditional policies that not only acknowledge, but embrace the unique differences between males and females, instead opting to ignore gender altogether in order to create a more "genderless" society.

But, considering current circumstances around the world, the last thing our Military needs is this type of "woke" politics, where ideology trumps reality.

American women deserve to be protected, not sacrificed against their will so DC politicians can claim a legislative victory.

That's why we need YOUR help.

Please take a few minutes to contact your federal lawmakers (both in the U.S. House and Senate), and urge them to oppose the amended language of both HR 4350 and S.4049 (the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021) that mandates American women to register for the draft.

Thank you!
