Tell the CO Senate Judiciary Committee to vote “NO” on HB22-1279
Colorado’s attempt to pass one of the most radical pro-abortion laws in the country has moved forward to the State Senate.

Even after hundreds of concerned Coloradans showed up on Saturday to support pro-life legislators who fought 24-hours straight on the House floor to try to stop HB22-1279, Democrats turned a deaf ear and stood in solidarity voting along party lines to support the mass destruction of unborn babies.

As Christians, we cannot grow weary in doing good and must do everything we can to try to stop this horrific legislation.

HB22-1279, the Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA) is now waiting to be heard in the State Senate Judiciary Committee.

This bill would codify into state law:

  • Abortion up-to-the-moment of birth for any reason
  • Abortion based on sex, race, or disability
  • Removal of parental notification or age restrictions on abortion
  • Enshrinement into law that an unborn baby at every stage of development “a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws” of Colorado
  • Prohibition of any regulation of abortion

PRAY: Continue to pray for the hearts and minds of Colorado legislators to be receptive to God’s truth. Pray that the destructive language in this bill would be revised, amended, or completely thrown out. Pray for the souls of those who are deceived by the enemy and desensitized to human life in the womb. Pray for the media to shine the light of truth on this issue and for people across Colorado and the nation to not back down from standing up for the most innocent of society.

THINK: Babies are not clumps of cells. They are not pre-human. Valuing human life is not a political issue, it’s a biblical issue that was established long before activist agendas entered the scene. God knew every one of us intimately before we were even conceived (Jeremiah 1:5). He created the innermost being of every life (Psalm 139). He has a unique plan for every one of us (Jeremiah 29:11) and every human life is made in His image (Genesis 1:27).

ACT: Contact State Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee RIGHT NOW and tell them to vote “NO” on HB22-1279 when it is debated in committee.

At this stage in the legislative process your action can have a significant impact. The public committee hearing stage is where the pros and cons of bills are brought to light for legislators, the media, and the public.

It is important that you contact senators today. This bill has been assigned to the State Senate Judiciary Committee for the five members of the committee to determine if HB1279 needs to be amended, thrown out, or stand as is to move forward to a vote of the whole senate and progress further to become state law
