Urge Congress to Support Renewable Liquid Heating Fuels
Our industry's voice must be heard as Congress considers energy, climate, and related tax legislation. Lawmakers are considering massive new subsidies for electrification to reduce emissions in the building sector. They must not overlook cost-effective and lower-carbon solutions being delivered by today’s small Main Street heating fuel dealers.

On July 26, a total of 19 trade associations sent a letter to Congress that urges inclusion of renewable fuels, including Bioheat® Fuel and ethyl levulinate (EL), as part of any national strategy to reduce emissions in American homes. The letter explains that renewable liquid heating fuels are the superior alternative to costly and inefficient heat pumps. It also outlines a series of policies designed to boost the adoption and availability of these fuels across the heating sector.
