On February 4, 2021 The Dream Act of 2021 (S. 264) was introduced in the U.S Senate for the 4th time by Senators Durbin (D-IL) and Graham (R-SC). This critical piece of bipartisan legislation creates a pathway to permanent citizenship for the nearly one-million Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, otherwise known as Dreamers.
Dreamers make significant contributions to the economy, the military, and academia, and are poised to become leaders in their communities. Passage of the American Dream and Promise Act would ensure that Dreamers across the United States can continue to live, work, and study in the communities that they have made home throughout their young lives.
