OPPOSE HB 1607 BOTTLE BILL
WFIA Members –

The WA State House of Representatives will soon vote on HB 1607, legislation that would create a bottle deposit program in Washington state. We need you to contact your legislators and urge them to OPPOSE HB 1607.

HB 1607 adds a 10-cent tax on many products, with no guarantee that consumers will see the benefit. This bill increases costs for consumers and retailers and creates serious public safety, cleanliness and health challenges in local communities.

Please click the “Take Action” button and let your legislators know how problematic this bill is for independent grocery and convenience stores.
