Our public school districts are at risk to lose any additional school aid enacted in the 2016-17 State budget. At present, the receipt of two years of state aid increases is linked to school district adoption of an approved 3012-d APPR (teacher evaluation) plan.
We ask that this be the year that Special Act Public School District funding inequities are addressed by the NYS legislature. A key issue is that the tuition rate is based on a two year lag rather than on actual expenses, and thus does not provide the level of current...
