Rep. Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz (D-Berks) has introduced a bill to amend the Self-Storage Facility Act. The bill, HB 1818, requested by PASSA, to amend the law to address issues some members have encountered with the recently changed notice process. Some local news outlets have failed to publish sale notifications in a timely fashion, causing unnecessary and costly delays in storage owners recovering their rental income.
