Opt- CT IN
Connecticut has a clear choice: keep new education investment here or let it flow to other states. A new federal tax credit encourages private donations to nonprofits that support low income K to 12 students through scholarships, tutoring, and academic support. This does not use state funds, does not impact public school budgets, and does not raise taxes. It simply incentivizes private giving to expand opportunity.

But Connecticut must opt in. If lawmakers fail to act, residents can still claim the federal tax credit, but their donations will go to nonprofits in other states. That means Connecticut taxpayers benefit, while Connecticut students lose out.

Tell your legislators: support Connecticut opting in. Keep these resources here, strengthen local nonprofits, and expand opportunity for students who need it most.
