ACTION ALERT: We need your help to make Connecticut fair for all citizens
Connecticut state employees received a 5.5% pay increase on July 1st, even during this time of unprecedented unemployment. Tell your representative what you think!

Maybe you knew that they received a similar raise in 2019 and are legally protected against layoffs.

In a time of hardship and uncertainty, Connecticut cannot afford to funnel your tax dollars to state employee pay increases. With small businesses shuttered and hundreds of thousands filed for unemployment, it is more important than ever that we get our economy back on track.

Connecticut’s state workers are providing courageous work. While others are struggling to make ends meet, these are the people who we expect to look out for our best interests. That is why we urge the governor and other state employees to make the responsible choice.

Recognizing other priorities in their states, governors of New York and Virginia have suspended scheduled pay increases for their state workers. It is time that Connecticut reevaluates and does the same.
