Take Action: Access to Breast Cancer Screening Saves Lives
Breast cancer is still one of the most common and deadly cancers affecting women in the U.S.—but early detection can save lives. Yet for too many people at higher risk, the cost of additional screenings puts that lifesaving care out of reach.
- Senate Bill 1410—a bipartisan effort led by Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Roger Marshall (R-KS)—would eliminate cost-sharing for medically necessary breast cancer screenings for individuals at high risk.
- This legislation is a targeted, life-saving step toward health equity and early intervention.
This isn’t the first time legislation like this has been introduced—previous efforts, like the Find It Early Act, never made it across the finish line. But with bipartisan support and growing momentum across the country, this time can be different. The time to act is NOW!
- Your voice can make the difference.
- Lawmakers need to hear directly from constituents like you that removing financial barriers to care is not just good policy—it is the right thing to do.
Take one minute to urge your members of Congress to support S. 1410. When enough of us speak up, they listen.
