Medicare patients are at risk of losing access to Peripheral Nerve Blocks (PNBs) — a safe, evidence-based, non-opioid treatment for chronic pain. CMS is considering Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) that would severely restrict coverage, threatening care for seniors and individuals with disabilities who rely on this proven therapy. At a time when we must expand alternatives to opioids, limiting access to PNBs would move us backward.
