The bill is now an amendment to the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act (S.222), which would allow schools to offer whole, reduced-fat, low-fat, and fat-free flavored and unflavored milk and would also allow parents or legal guardians to provide a written statement requesting milk substitutions, instead of requiring a physician’s note.
