Urge Your Senator to Cosponsor the FRNT LINE Act!
During this pandemic, the baking industry has stepped up to meet the demands of the American people, by ensuring a plentiful food supply and providing them with essential baked goods. In addition, we need to incentivize and motivate these employees for their hard work and sacrifices as they continue to ensure our communities have food to eat throughout the pandemic. To demonstrate our gratitude for the employees who continue to come to work every day, please urge your Senators to cosponsor the FRNT LINE Act to recognize these HEROES and incentivize them by giving them well-deserved tax relief for their commitment during this pandemic.

The FRNT LINE Act will provide income tax relief for essential workers as defined by the recent Department of Homeland Security guidance identifying essential critical infrastructure. The income tax level will be set at the level of pay for the highest-paid enlisted person in the U.S. Armed Forces. Additionally, the bill will provide payroll tax relief by suspending federal payroll taxes to essential workers who earn up to $50,000 annually. The legislation provides for tax relief beginning April 1, 2020, and will end on the date the federal emergency declaration is lifted (as by the President of the United States under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic), with an automatic sunset on December 31, 2020.

Working each day during this public health emergency presents extraordinary challenges, and our employees are rising to the occasion. Please email your Senators and urge them to provide tax relief for our COVID-19 Heroes!
