Protect Supplement Access in NJ
The New Jersey legislature is considering a bill, A 1848/ S 3987, that would prohibit access to dietary supplements for muscle building to those under 18 or unless the minor is accompanied by an adult. This will restrict access to products that can support health and create a slippery slope for even more restrictions on supplements.

This bill creates the mistaken impression that supplements are unsafe and/or unregulated. Supplements are fully regulated by the FDA and FTC. Producers must adhere to strict manufacturing requirements, along with other safety protocols. This system is effective: dietary supplements are among the safest substances to put in your body. Very few Americans experience adverse events from supplements: a report from the American Association of Poison Control Center’s National Poison Data System found ZERO deaths from supplements. The few adverse events that do occur typically result from choking on pills or small children getting their hands on a supplement bottle.

Write to your legislators and oppose this measure.
