Ask Congress to Help Protect Audiologists and SLPs from Workplace Violence
The Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (H.R. 1195/S. 4182) requires the U.S. Department of Labor to issue workplace violence prevention standards to protect health care and social service workers, including audiologists and speech-language pathologists (SLPs). The bill helps ensure that health care settings have effective policies, training, and recordkeeping access in place to prevent violence and protect the health and safety of providers, including audiologists and SLPs.

The House of Representatives passed this bipartisan bill in 2021, but the Senate has yet to consider it.
