Help Protect LWCF

Landscape Architects - We cannot let this happen!

Recently, the White House sent Congress its FY26 budget request, which would slash dedicated LWCF funding—despite it being permanently authorized under the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act just five years ago.

This proposal would:

  • Undermine funding for local parks and public lands projects—many of which landscape architects help plan and design.
  • Jeopardize outdoor access, including for hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting.
  • Disrupt conservation efforts and the $1.2 trillion outdoor economy that supports over 5 million jobs.
  • Cut off critical investments in rural and underserved communities that rely on LWCF support for recreation and green space access.

As landscape architects, we access LWCF to create local park projects that improve lives, strengthen communities, and protect our shared outdoor heritage.

LWCF is not taxpayer funded and does not impact the federal budget - Tell Congress to reject these cuts and restore full LWCF funding.

Thank you for standing with us in this critical moment.
