Child care programs are a pillar of Alabama's early learning system and First Class Pre-K program - not to mention a critical support for working families. That is why we spent months urging Governor Ivey to make more Coronavirus relief dollars available to child care providers.
On November 17, the Governor announced the rollout of a new $200 million COVID relief grant program that most child care providers can apply for. The Revive Plus program will provide grants of up to $20,000 to small businesses, nonprofits and faith-based organizations with 50 or fewer employees. The program will provide grants of up to $20,000 to cover expenses related to interruptions or closures brought on by the pandemic.
The application period for the Revive Plus Grant Program is open through noon on December 4, 2020. The program is first come, first served.
On November 24, the Alabama School Readiness Alliance and our partners at VOICES for Alabama's Children hosted a webinar to help child care providers apply for Revive Plus.

On the webinar, state officials walked applicants through the simple grant application, explained which COVID-related expenses are eligible for reimbursement through this grant, and answered participant questions.
