Call to Action: Tell Congress to cosponsor the ROCR Value Based Payment Program Act!
Your action is needed now! Ask your members of Congress to support the Radiation Oncology Case Rate Act (ROCR). Recent medical payment changes are causing significant financial harm to cancer clinics and threatening patient access to radiation therapy. A Spring ASTRO survey found that two-thirds of physicians surveyed reported reimbursement declines of 10% or greater, with many clinics anecdotally reporting cutsin the 20%-30% range.

ROCR would usher in long-term payment stability after years of declines and consolidation. Led by Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Gary Peters (D-MI), and Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), John Joyce, MD (R-PA), and Paul Tonko (D-NY), ROCR is a viable payment reform proposal that would increase access to care, improve the quality of cancer treatment, lower barriers to care for underserved patients, encourage innovation, and lower Medicare spending and patient costs. It's sponsored by 50 Senators and Representatives and supported by over 135 organizations, including physician groups, patients, hospital systems, freestanding centers, industry, and more.

WHY NOW: Medicare payment for radiation therapy services is broken and needs immediate reform. The status quo is unsustainable. ROCR will provide relief and decouple payments from volume, supporting high-quality care.

This is a unique opportunity to secure long-term payment stability. Your story as a constituent provides the most influential insight for Congressional offices and pulls immense weight in getting members to cosponsor the bill. The more cosponsors, the better chances for passage, so please act now!
