Tell Congress: It’s Time to Act on Swipe Fees
We need Congress to act on swipe fee reform.

The American Booksellers Association is asking you to tell your members of Congress to support the Credit Card Competition Act. Simply fill in the form to your right to email your lawmakers on this important issue.

The Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA), which is sponsored by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Roger Marshall (R-KS). The legislation would require that credit cards issued by the largest US banks be able to be processed over at least two unaffiliated card payment networks, and that merchants be allowed to choose which to use. One network could be VISA or Mastercard, but the other would have to be an unaffiliated competitor, such as another credit card network or one of a dozen indie payment networks like Star, NYCE, or Shazam (which have better security and charge lower fees).

Take action today and urge your legislators to support the Credit Card Competition Act.
