ACTION ALERT – Support the Stop Greenlighting Driver Licenses for Illegal Immigrants Act!
New Congressional legislation would block federal funds from states that allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses or that limit local cooperation with federal immigration authorities. It would halt DOJ grants to sanctuary jurisdictions, especially those awarded under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, which is a major source of federal criminal justice funding for states.

Tell your Representative and Senators to support S 3286 and HR 5862, the Stop Greenlighting Driver Licenses for Illegal Immigrants Act!

Under the companion bills by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), non-complying states would no longer receive millions of dollars in federal funding from the JAG program. In FY 2019, states that issued driver licenses to illegal aliens received nearly $53 million from this program.

Sanctuary jurisdictions encourage more illegal immigration. Too many victims have suffered from violent crimes inflicted as a result of our failure to enforce immigration law. This legislation would ensure that federal grants only go to states who uphold our rule of law.

Tell Congress to pass S 3286/HR 5862, the Stop Greenlighting Driver Licenses for Illegal Immigrants Act!
