The “COVID Quacks,” Big Pharma, and Real Medicine

Editors Note: In the late 1970s, Ivermectin was developed as a new class of drug to treat parasitic infections. Initially used in veterinary medicine, it was soon found to be safe and effective in humans. In the past 30 years, 3.7 billion doses of Ivermectin have been distributed in mass drug administration campaigns globally. In 1987, Ivermectin was cleared for use in humans and has been considered a miracle drug. Ivermectin, credited with saving millions of lives, received the Nobel Prize in 2015 and was touted as a miracle drug for multiple uses including infections. Early in the late 1980s, NIH under Dr. Anthony Fauci quietly discovered that Ivermectin was effective against certain viruses including HIV-1. However, Dr. Fauci sat on the discovery, continuing to use the toxic cancer drug AZT in the treatment of HIV-AIDS. The Center Garden State Families did this story about Dr. Fauci and his failure in treating HIV-AIDS, "When Profiteering Masquerades As Science: The Evil We Face Now." This spring look for our new article titled "My Five Minutes Anthony Fauci."

The “COVID quacks” are now making quakes, 9.0-size quakes on the Richter scale of the pharmaceutical industry.  After proving without a doubt that ivermectin is a safe and effective treatment for SARS CoV-2 infection, after proving without a doubt that ivermectin is safe and effective in preventing SARS CoV-2 infection, after proving without a doubt that ivermectin is safe and effective in treating patients with long COVID and those with COVID vaccine injury, and after proving to the world that the “COVID quacks” were right all along, these brave souls – highly credentialed medical professionals, all – are quaking new ground.

Dr. Paul Marik, who founded the Frontline Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) during the initial months of the COVID pandemic, has launched a prospective, observational study whose objective is to answer the question, Do repurposed, FDA-approved drugs like ivermectin improve the survival of patients with cancer?  It’s a simple question that has over 20 years of laboratory and preclinical research to suggest that the answer to this question is yes.

However, it is not sufficient to presume that what works in mice will also work in humans. Indeed, most drugs and interventions that initially work in mice do not work in humans.  So, we must be clear about the need to conduct proper, ethical, well-designed, rigorously monitored investigations to answer the question posed by Dr. Marik’s study.

Keep in mind that although most drugs and interventions that initially work in mice do not work in humans, all of the drugs and interventions that do work in humans first worked in mice.  And, so, we shall see if repurposed, FDA-approved medications such as ivermectin, mebendazole, nitazoxanide, metformin, sildenafil, and even plain, old, boring aspirin improve the survival of patients with cancer.

This observational study will be conducted through the FLCCC, under the leadership of Dr. Marik. A total of six co-principal investigators will pool their respective, longitudinal, observational data during the next several years to see if these repurposed, FDA-approved drugs, especially ivermectin, work better than standard cancer treatment protocols to improve patient survival when compared to historical controls.

If this initial observational study shows a survival benefit of repurposed drugs like ivermectin for patients with cancer, then additional studies will be launched, all according to the highest standards of medical research.

It is imperative that the medical profession do everything it can to restore the confidence that has been lost over the past decade, a loss that began with the corruption of the healthcare system by avaricious profiteers and the politicians that their dirty money captured and leveraged for further avarice and corruption. The erosion of integrity in the practice of medicine was further accelerated by the fraud and coercion that was inflicted on society by those who were charged with safeguarding the health and welfare of the citizens of this country but who chose, instead, to betray us, deceive us, poison us, maim us, and in at least 18,000 instances murdered us.

The good news is that not everyone in the medical profession was captured and corrupted. Thousands of honorable medical professionals chose to uphold the highest standards of patient care that urge us to “first, do no harm.”  But as a result of pushing back against medical tyranny, we were punished, ridiculed, and extruded from mainstream medicine. We were debunked as “quacks.” We still suffer these “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.” However, in taking on the “to be or not to be” choice, we have chosen and will continue to resolutely practice, as FLCCC exhorts, “Honest Medicine.”

We intend to practice honest medicine by conducting honest research, to have that research overseen by an ethics review board, to have the data that we collect analyzed by an independent biostatistician, and to have the results of this observational study reviewed by a panel of scientific experts prior to publication of the study.

If ivermectin or other repurposed, FDA-approved medications improve the survival of patients with cancer compared to conventional cancer treatments, then the remarkable affordability of drugs like ivermectin, at ten cents a pill, will pull the rug out of the avaricious nature at the core of the pharmaceutical/cancer industry.

It’s about time.  Let the study begin. The “quacks” that challenged the system are quaking it now. Beware of falling objects: Dr. Francis Collins, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Ralph Baric, and those who followed in their wake. This ought to be interesting, to say the least.
