Medicaid for Strong Communities
For people living with chronic illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, or autoimmune conditions, Medicaid is often the only consistent source of care. It provides access to doctors, medications, and therapies that keep people stable and working — even during times of job loss or transition. Without this coverage, many would delay treatment, leading to health crises that result in higher costs and greater strain on emergency departments. Medicaid helps people manage their health, avoid preventable complications, and live more independently — reducing long-term healthcare spending for both states and individuals.

Medicaid helps working families, seniors, and rural communities stay healthy and independent during bad times. Medicaid also keeps hospitals and clinics open and supports small businesses.

Congress is considering major cuts to Medicaid funding, which would burden state budgets and force decisions that could reduce care, take away health insurance and make it hard for many hospitals to stay open. This is the wrong direction. Federal and state governments should fix Medicaid, not take it away from the millions of working Americans who need it. We need state and federal leaders to protect the people and communities who rely on this essential program.

Send a message today and urge them to keep Medicaid strong.
