There are three major components to this bill:

1. Carbon Fee: This policy puts a fee on fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. It starts low, and grows over time.

2. Carbon Cashback: The money collected from the carbon fee is allocated in equal shares every month to the American people 
without restrictions.
3. Border Carbon Adjustment: To protect U.S. manufacturers and jobs, imported goods will pay a border carbon adjustment.  Goods exported from the U.S. will receive a refund.

This bill will reduce our country's carbon pollution 50% by 2030, putting us on track to reach net zero by 2050.  The health benefits are essential, as poor air quality from burning fossil fuels is responsible for as many as 1 in 10 American deaths today, and sickens thousands more.
