Tell your members of Congress: One last push for climate action before summer recess!
We've broken global heat records for the last 12 months straight; 2023 was the hottest summer on record in the Northern Hemisphere for more than 2000 years; and this summer is already shaping up to continue the global heat-record-smashing streak.  Global warming is only going to continue until we draw down atmospheric carbon to climate-safe levels again, not just reduce our emissions.

The Farm Bill is widely seen as the best opportunity for a significant step forward, building on the Inflation Reduction Act from the last Congress, but there are also dozens of other important bills that have been introduced to continue addressing climate change in the 118th Congress.  (HR's 598, 3302, 3961, 5204, 5744, 8527 and S's 2838, 3340, 3416, 3500, 4117, 4185 are just some examples, see the Sources for more of them.)

Congress can still act on some of these before they break for summer recess.  Let's get our members to push for action or clearly identify who is standing in the way!
