Oak Flat is a breathtaking expanse of wildlands located in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. It is not only considered sacred to the area's Indigenous peoples, but provides critical habitat for endangered species.
Unfortunately, this landscape is at immediate risk of being transferred out of America's public lands and into the hands of Resolution Copper, a foreign mining company. The only way to protect it is to repeal the statutory mandate that makes it possible, which is exactly what this bill would do.
