Urge Congress to conduct oversight on EPA's repeal of the endangerment finding
In 2009, the endangerment finding established a clear link between greenhouse gas emissions and negative health impacts. The body of evidence supporting it has only grown since then, proving several times over that greenhouse gases are harmful air pollutants and the EPA has the authority to regulate them under the Clean Air Act.

There is also a chance that a successful repeal could backfire on fossil fuel companies. In the past, the endangerment finding has been used to dismiss state- and city-level lawsuits against oil and energy companies by creating a basis for federal preemption. Without it, these lawsuits now have legal grounds to proceed.
