Agrivoltaic systems are the definition of a winning solution. They of course make it possible for farmers and communities to grow food and produce energy at the same time. But according to a slew of recent studies, they also support grazing, increase revenue, and—thanks to the shade provided by solar panels—improve crop yields and reduce water stress. Unfortunately, while the farm bill supports research into agrivoltaic systems, it also limits funding for solar projects and components.
