Urge your federal representatives to support funding for atmospheric methane removal research
Methane is not only responsible for about a third of global heating, but drives the formation of ground-level ozone, which threatens crop yields and causes approximately 1 million premature deaths each year. In light of these impacts, it is essential that we continue working to reduce methane emissions—and that includes exploring atmospheric methane removal strategies.

Unfortunately, several of the methods currently being explored are still in the early research stages, and we lack knowledge regarding their feasibility, scalability, and potential side effects. By supporting early-stage research, the U.S. has the opportunity to deepen our understanding of these strategies and rapidly become a global leader in the field.
