NCAR’s state-of-the-art equipment, extensive modeling, and simulation tools are used to process massive amounts of climate and weather data, supporting weather forecasting and helping us build our understanding of air pollution and extreme conditions. This work not only supports federal agencies, state and local governments, and disaster preparedness efforts, but provides critical information that farmers, fisheries, airlines, and our military rely on to operate and make decisions.
