Since Interior Secretary Burgum issued a directive last July, solar and wind projects have been unable to proceed without his personal signoff. This has put a halt to several projects that were already well underway, and effectively stopped approvals of new proposals. It's an especially senseless move at a time when unprecedented energy demand is driving electricity costs for families ever-upward.
