Urge Congress to support agrivoltaics in the Farm Bill
Not only does farmland make up 43% of the contiguous United States, but it's well-suited to solar installation. And far from jeopardizing prime farmland, studies have shown that farmers with solar leases are able to use the income they generate to fund other farm improvements. All in all, agrivoltaics are a much better land investment than bioenergy, which requires massive amounts of land to grow food for fuel, and provides 100 times less energy per hectare than solar energy.
