Decades of inadequate funding caused severe staff shortages and left nonprofit provider agencies struggling to maintain facilities and provide quality care and support for New Yorkers with disabilities.

The Senate and Assembly’s one-house budget resolutions included a 4% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII), compared to the initial 1.7% offered by the governor’s Executive Budget – not even enough to maintain the status quo. We are now calling on the governor and legislature to include the following priorities to support people with IDD in the final Enacted Budget:

• A 4% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII) to supplement the governors 1.7% TII.
• Include the CCO’s in the TII
