Farm Bill: Senate Agriculture Committee to Mark Up Farm Bill on August 6

What's happening: The Senate Agriculture Committee is scheduled to consider Chairman John Boozman's Agricultural Act of 2026 on Aug. 6.

Why it matters: America's farmers and ranchers continue to face extreme economic pressure due to years of low commodity prices, high input costs and persistently high inflation. Passing an updated farm bill would provide long-term certainty for farmers and ranchers.

The big picture: The Senate Agriculture Committee’s scheduled markup is positive movement toward reauthorizing the farm bill. The Senate’s version includes important provisions related to authorizing the sale of E15 blended fuel year-round, expanding access to risk management tools for farmers and ranchers, and reducing input price volatility.

Senate Agriculture Committee members should vote YES to advance the Agricultural Act of 2026 out of the Senate Ag Committee.

Take action: Contact your senators today and urge them to vote YES on Aug. 6 to move the farm bill out of committee.

Note: This action alert is available only to constituents whose U.S. senator serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee. After entering their address, advocates will see a targeted senator only if they live in that senator’s state.
