Allow more ADUs to be built
Our state currently has a devastating housing shortage that is forcing locals to leave for the mainland since the dream of homeownership seems so far away. One of the reasons for the shortage of housing stock is the lack of small homes on small lots due to local restrictions.

To encourage developers to build for locals, we need to legalize and prioritize more multi-generational homes that can be built in areas that already have housing. Many areas across the country, like California, Montana and Oregon, have begun the process of liberalizing their zoning and land use ordinances to promote more of these more modest homes.

SB3202 would allow for two ADUs and unlock more affordable housing options in our neighborhoods. Please take a moment to let the Governor know that you are in favor of this proposal to promote more affordable homes in our state.
