Stop New York from Creating an Unfair Burden on Refrigerant Producers

New York Bill A 2164 and S 1459 would require refrigerant producers to create and submit a plan for a statewide refrigerant collection program. While this may sound like a step toward environmental responsibility, it’s actually a duplicative and costly mandate that unfairly targets producers. Especially when producers no control on the recovery rate of refrigerant.

Even though refrigerant recovery is already required by law, this bill would drive up refrigerant prices for everyone through added costs the program forces upon producers.

Take action now and tell lawmakers to oppose NY A 2164 / S 1459 to protect refrigerant affordability and fairness in HVACR.
