This terrific bill allows tax-exempt distributions from health savings accounts (HSAs) to be used for home care. An HSA is tax-advantaged medical savings account for taxpayers enrolled in a high-deductible health plan.

The bill also orders the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to carry out a campaign to increase public awareness of the in-home service expenses that would be eligible.
