HCAOA needs your help!
Yesterday, we learned that the U.S. House of Representatives may bring the Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act of 2023 up for a vote as soon as next week! This is incredibly positive news and a testament to the power of your advocacy!
We need your voice once again, though! Please fill out your name and address to the right and then click "Send Message." This will send a pre-written letter of support for the bill to your member of Congress.
As a reminder, this legislation would improve and expand home and community-based services for disabled and elderly veterans, ensuring they are able to remain in their homes to receive the care they need.
Specifically, the bill would raise the cap on how much the VA can pay for the cost of home care from 65% of the cost of nursing home care to 100%. For many catastrophically disabled veterans, the cost of care can quickly exceed this 65% limit.
Thank you!
