Scientific research should be conducted and shared free from political interference - the integrity of our scientific institutions and evidence-based policy depend on it. That’s why we need the Scientific Integrity Act (H.R. 1106), which would:

• Require federal agencies that fund or oversee scientific research to establish and maintain clear scientific integrity principles;
• Prohibit suppression and political interference of scientific findings and conclusions; and;
• Hold scientists to high standards while guaranteeing their rights and protections under the law, among other provisions. 

This bill is a direct response to the egregious misuse of power by the Trump Administration during his first term. Now, Trump’s political appointees continue to block research and evidence-based policy repeatedly. Congress must pass the Scientific Integrity Act and protect the future of science in the United States, and they need to hear from you.
