Ask President Trump to appoint a new NLRB member
In December 2025, the U.S. Senate confirmed two new members and a new general counsel to the National Labor Relations Board. These actions restored a quorum to the board, which had one member for most of 2025 and was incapable of hearing cases or issuing decisions.

However, the board still does not have a 3-member pro-business majority. The board is usually reluctant to reverse major decisions (such as its radically pro-union decisions reversing decades of established labor law during the Biden administration) without a 3-vote majority.

The window to appoint a new NLRB member who favors merit shop principles is closing. The 2026 midterm elections have the potential to shift the balance of Senate power in favor of the Democrats, endangering the chances of confirmation for any of President Donald Trump's future nominees.

The time to act to secure the future of the merit shop is now.

Contact the White House today and ask President Trump to appoint another NLRB member who will support free enterprise, small businesses, and merit shop principles.
