Are We Going to Protect Iowa Schools?
There are no places evil can't go.  Limited, though, are your choices to stand up against evil and stop it.  Ideas are being discussed everywhere about how to protect our schools.  The insurance companies have threatened to drop school coverage on schools that protect children and staff by exercising the right to self-defense with a firearm.

Have you noticed what isn't being discussed?

The time has come to be brutally honest about the invisible fence around schools that disallows the right to self-defense.  Maybe we should approach the protection of innocent children and staff inside schools the same way we do outside schools.  Are we capable of exploring common sense approaches that everyone already uses everywhere but in schools?  Many other states have.

When evil executes a plan, the results are a matter of time and math, no matter how we all pray differently.  How long until somebody stops the evil and how many die before the evil is stopped?  This is simple, but too many refuse to bring the truth to bear.  The only way to stop evil quickly and cut down the death rate is to be present, willing, and capable.  When we remove the right to self-defense and the defense of the innocent and hand that basic human right over to others, there are undeniable lags in time and performance.  During that lag, people die.

Let's craft meaningful legislation that saves lives rather than say we did something.  We need to be honest about this and IFC has been working towards the best response for years.  Please send this message to all who can impact the safety of our schools.
