  IMPORTANT AND HELPFUL TIPS FOR RETURNING CVR INVENTORY  
 

1. Know the Billing Cycle: IADA sends out pre-billing invoices around the 10th of every month for the previous month's voided and damaged items. Those items need to be returned and received by the end of the month. 

2. Run the Inventory Return Report: When returning damaged or voided inventory, you must always run the Inventory Return Report and send it with your inventory. Make sure to back-date the beginning date of the report by 2-3 months. This will ensure that any previous month's inventory will appear on the report. 

3.Utilize the SEARCH function: If you have inventory that does not appear on the Inventory Return Report, search that item to see what status it is in. If it is in an 'Available' status, you should modify the status in your Central Inventory to 'Returned'. The item will then appear on your Inventory Return Report. Do not return inventory that is still in an 'Available' status, it must appear on the Inventory Return Report. 

If the item is 'pending', you have to finalize the transaction in CVR. IADA cannot finalize any pending deals. If the item is 'Issued Final', print the Search history and send it to IADA. IADA will send those items to the Secretary of State to be destroyed. 

When deleting a 'busted' deal, make sure you select the correct return option for the inventory. 

If you have a registration sticker that needs to be returned but the sticker has already been placed on the license plate, you do not need to peel it off, however, we need the original certificate that the sticker was attached to. 

You do not need to send copies of the inventory you return. Keep all copies for your records and send IADA all originals. 

Make sure all returned inventory Except Temp Tags are sent to IADA, NOT the Secretary of State.

1. Avoid S.O.S Late Paperwork Fines: Have all paper-work to IADA by the 29th calendar day to avoid this S.O.S Late Paperwork fine.

2. Send in your bundles more frequently, maybe a couple times a week instead of once a week.

3. S.O.S Inventory Return Fees: Run this report weekly so you make sure you are not missing anything that F&I maybe hasn't told you about. These must be returned by the end of the next month to avoid an S.O.S Missing Inv. fine.

4. If you can't find a piece of Inventory get a Police Report right away and fax to Mary Blake at IADA right away to avoid S.O.S Missing Inv. fines.

5. If you are waiting on a title Pre-Pay your taxes in CVR so your taxes are paid on time, avoid that late fee from the DOR.

6. If you take a vehicle on trade that has a problem title do not sell the vehicle until you know you have a good title.

7. Run an NMVTIS on all titles to make sure you don't have any surprises when you take in a trade or buy from an auction. S.O.S will run this on all titles as well.

8. Do you have offsite sales? If you do you must have a separate CVR Account for these sales. Please contact your Account Executive.

  #1 ISSUE ON HELP LINE... FIXING THE STICKER NUMBER  
  The Secretary of State said their #1 call on the help line is...

Customer having the wrong sticker on their vehicle, how can it be fixed?

Customer leaves with their new vehicle, new plate and a new vehicle sticker # 867001. You notice the cus-tomer information is wrong. You fix the information, you redo everything, the plate # is the same but now it has assigned sticker # 867024, and sticker 867001 is now on the return report. What do you do?

Write void on sticker #867024, and also write on it " this is to replace sticker # 867001" now return # 867024 with your return report. Easy fix!
