Please join IADA on June 27th at 11:00 AM for our Used Vehicle Limited Implied Warranty of Merchantability Webinar. We will explain how the new warranty law will affect used vehicle sales and offer compliance advice.
  • Beginning July 1, 2017, most used vehicle sales will be subject to a 15-day/500 mile Limited Warranty of Merchantability for Power Train Components.
  • Dealers will be required to include a disclosure of the power train warranty with the purchase agreement and on the Used Car Buyers Guide.
  • Specific defects can be excluded from warranty coverage if properly disclosed by the dealer and waived by the customer.
  • Some older vehicles are exempt from the warranty requirements and damage from some types of customer misuse, abuse, or neglect is not covered by the warranty.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
